If you have been following me along my journey as a Fine Art Photographer. You may or may not be wondering what exactly is “fine art photography”. How is it any different than a DIY photo session? My values and artistic vision as a photographer when creating art for my clients is a luxury experience all on its own!
What is fine art?
To me being a Fine art photographer is more than your regular portrait/lifestyle photography. Fine art is a creative type of photography. This type of photography is a visual piece of art. Many of these photographers have a vision before carrying out the actual session. During a session with me we will plan out every detail of the session, and my vision for the session. We are working to create beautiful artwork for your home, to hang on the wall to cherish day in and day out. Fine art photography is timeless and creative. Many people will embark on “DIY”, but some people just do not possess a creative soul, like an artist.
Creativity with a vison.
Sometimes I will cast model calls to create a specific “vision” that I want to portray. There is no rhyme or reason to my vision sometimes, other than it just comes to me. I want to create a beautiful piece of art, I have every detail in my mind, I just need someone to photograph. I love when my clients are willing to take advice and follow along with my artistic ideas. Together this really helps when creating art!
Creation of artwork for our home.
What better way to display our portraits other than fine art photography? Yes, we can hang our DIY portraits all over our home too, but how many of you actually even print your photos? During a session with me, we will go over how we want to display our artwork for years to come. This helps with the vision of the image. Instead of your photos being left on a CD to die, we will create timeless printed images together, leaving all the work to me with luxury products and a luxury experience.
